Jorma Kaukonen - "River of Time"

Good album. Of course, it's Jorma, so that just goes without saying.

No-Personality

Well, I got so burned out on the road
Too many fags, too much blow
And then Mick and I split up and I said,
"Kid, it's time to take a little bit of a hiatus."
So I got myself a gig at the coffee shop
and I love it.
Why don't you take that corner booth,
I'll take your order in a minute...

Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

While on a presidential thing, never forget who had it first.  :humhumhum: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=l7iVsdRbhnc#!

Joking aside, I've been listening to some Opeth. Fell in love with them in 2008, got sick of them in 2010, couldn't get into the last album at all. But now I'm having one of those moments where I see a band in my music folder that I haven't listened to in a while, and I just feel like something different. I think I'm overlistening to the stuff I'm into currently, and just want to step back a bit. If that makes sense.

You didn't like the new album? I love it lots.

Miley, of course.

Though the "Nashville" and "Jay-Z" stuff makes it hard to pretend the chorus still works for the requisite festivities.

It's funny, too, because I hate growling vocals and both Damnation and Heritage are clean vocals only. You'd think that'd be heaven for me, but I don't really like either. Heritage isn't terrible, I like the opening title track, The Devil's Orchard, Folklore... but a lot of it just seems to be the band constantly switching between heavy parts and folksy noodling over and over. I know I'm in the minority though. Most people I know who like Opeth love it.

(Ultimate irony being that Deliverance is my favorite album by them, and it's one of the heaviest and most growly they've done.)

Despite me not being as big a fan as I used to be, Akerfeldt is still fucking hilarious live.

Avaitor

Speaking of Akerfeldt, I dug his group's new album as well.

It doesn't matter what you say, soon you'll be dead anyway.

Demi Lovato- "Shut Up and Love Me"

Recently, two songs that were supposed to be on HWGA leaked, this and the original version of "For the Love of a Daughter". These have both been common knowledge among fans for a while, and listening to them now... eh. The version of FTLOAD on Unbroken sounds so much more raw and stripped down, while this one has a misleading title.

She dropped Daughter because of how dark it is, but SUALM must have been pulled for being so forgettable.
