Great list!

Ninja Gaiden, F.E.A.R., and RE4 are in my top 10 as well, and occasionally WW cycles in and out of there, but it's also one of my favorites. i really need to get around to playing God Hand one of these days. As for Banjo, I've only started playing Kazooie, but I'll get to Tooie eventually. And i should probably look into Nier as well, as that's a game which I admittedly know nothing about.

1. Nier - Yes, this is my favorite game now. I played it all three times months ago and I still can't stop thinking about it. It's just perfect, in every way.

One of the many I want to play.

3. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker - A flawless high seas adventure with my most loved game world ever.

Regardless of what the ocean haters say, I agree this game's world is indeed great. Easily the best exploration of any Zelda game.

7. Resident Evil 4 - The Army of Darkness of video games. I could sing its praises all day long.

An obviously deserving pick.

10. Banjo-Tooie - Really. Even with its obvious faults, I still adore this game enough to put it here.

Banjo better than Galaxy? :unimpressed:

Nah just kidding. When I first saw your post, I just immediately read it as if you were listing in backward order, so I saw this as your #1 pick and was blown away. :P

2. Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack In Time - Upon replaying it, I've decided that I actually like this one more than the original trilogy.
This is going to be the most underrated game of the past generation, I think. (Well, on the HD systems)

Anybody out there with a PS3 who isn't playing this game is really missing out. I played through this like three times since I got it and it totally holds up with every replay. It's the best HD game of last generation and one of the best period.

That Insomniac isn't out there cranking out more AAA platformers should be criminal.

By the way, Foggle, being that you like Wind Waker so much, do you think you'll ever end up getting the HD remake?

Spark Of Spirit

I got everything in DKC:TF beaten on Hard Mode up to the last world.

This will be one of my favorites, surely.

If I get a Wii U, that'll be one of the first games I get.

Hmmm, I don't know too many platformers that have a hard mode.

None definitely have difficulty levels like Little Samson. It's like a whole different game between the difficulties with alternate paths and whatnot.

I forgot that game had difficulties. I suck at it though. Barely got past the first boss. lol

I actually have it already. My super amazing family pitched in and got me a U and that for Christmas. :swoon: Replaying it for the millionth time made me realize just how much I love it.

What do you think of the remake?
I prefer playing with the GameCube controller, and the bloom can be way too bright at times, but for the most part it's a nice improvement over the original. The updated graphics, higher quality audio, and easier Triforce hunt make the game *that* much more enjoyable.

I haven't played it, but from what I've seen, I still like the look of the original more, particularly the ocean. I feel like the remake has to be nice for fixing the slow sailing and overly long Triforce hunt. But since I don't have a problem with either of those, I might stick with the original.

Rocket Knight Adventures has a Hard mode. I never tried it, but I hear you die in only one hit on that difficulty.
