The fact that Bayonetta 2 still exists gives me a huge erection. The fact that it's for a system I probably won't be getting until next December at the earliest reduces it to a halfy. :frown:

Oh yeah, and P-100 is now called The Wonderful 101. A bit catchier, and it still looks great.

I guess Nintendo and Platinum are buddies now.

Honestly, I'd just sell my Wii to get money for the U, but I don't think it'll be able to play my imported Fatal Frame 4. :'( I'd also sell my 360 for it, but I've tried Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 and the PS3 version of Bayonetta, and they're just awful compared to on the Xbox. :'( :'( :'(

And yeah, I like that title a lot more. I actually hope Nintendo buys Platinum so that they can escape from the horrific grasps of Sega and Konami. P*'s games are the kind that you'd expect from a Ninty console in this day and age, anyway. Well, maybe not Max Anarchy, knowing how bad their consoles are with online capabilities. Multiplayer, btw, is already fucking dead. Thank god for simulator mode.

Quote"I don't like it when people lump Japanese games developers all together into one group. Frankly, I think it's a joke. What do these people know? Think about Western developers. There are many Western developers making terrible games, and then you see one like Infinity Ward making a game that sells 20 million and everyone goes, 'hey, Western developers are amazing!' There are tons of terrible Western developers, just like there are tons of terrible Japanese developers. To lump studios together in great masses misses the point."

Perfect, absolutely perfect. Especially how he mentions how Infinity Ward is the "golden standard".

I feel your pain man. 40 minutes waiting in a lobby and not a single person joined my game :(

Yeah, this game really didn't take off at all, and you can thank Sega for that. Though it probably still would have died within the year had it actually come out in the west.

Even in week 4, you'd have been lucky to find a game that wasn't Team Deathmatch. Now the only way to feasibly play online is Cage Match, which isn't really fun at all because everyone who plays it just spams cheap juggle combos and infinites the whole time.

Simulator mode is still great, but only in short bursts. At least I'll always have the amazing OST...

Honestly the game would benefit so much from an improved port for the PC and WiiU. The 16 player multiplayer is perfect for LAN and they can easily add some "dungeon master"-like modes using the WiiU tablet.

Proper split-screen would have at least lessened the blow. It's an amazing game, but Platinum was really stupid about a lot of things involving its development.

Not to sound like a PC elitist, but, honestly, being a console game is what killed AR. This is the kind of multiplayer experience that would absolutely thrive in the PC community, especially with Steam sales and such. In fact, they should have just cut out the single-player story entirely and released it as a $20-30 downloadable title for Windows.

Anarchy Reigns. Western release. January 8th. $30. :joy:

I know what just got added to my 2013 anticipated game list.

I really hope the community is reinvigorated come January. Damn good game once you get it down (and have people to play with!).

Rynnec

Nice.

Any chance it'll come with a soundtrack?

Foggle

Doubtful, though I wouldn't be surprised if it gets put on iTunes shortly after release. Really glad I bought the retail release of it, beautiful packaging! :swoon:
