Yup, Looks like yet another generic shonen title that tries to get away with being all flash but no substance. They really need to stop making those.

Also, being that I could never find TTGL to be the least bit interesting, I'm actually interested to see what JO has to say about it, to see whether she gets the appeal of all of its hype, dislikes it as much as I do, or comes in with a more fair critical analysis and gives it a more average rating neither catering the fans or haters of the series. Knowing her it will probably be the last one of those options, since she always seems to be pretty "in-between" when it comes to judging series in most of her reviews.

Okay, watched the review. Has she reviewed Dragonaut yet? That'd probably fall in the same pool of mediocrity.

As the only one here who actually liked the show, she does a good job showing why.

Personally, among the shows made by Gainax, I have a soft spot for Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water. Well, except for that shitty filler-arc when the kids got stuck on an island for several episodes and nothing of importance happened.

Rest of the show was solid though and I really liked it's version of Captain Nemo.

I've heard good things about Nadia, but haven't got around to it.

I think it's on my backlog somewhere, along with about 50 different series I'll likely not get around to for a while.

So, JO is doing a lets play for YYH: DT, and normally I wouldn't bring this up in an anime board thread for her reviews, but I only do bring this up in the first place because it has something to do with YYH, and for no other reason besides that....

Yeah, so she said Chapter Black is her favorite arc because its the best written.
